Life gets busy, doesn't it? And things don't always go as we had hoped, do they?

Due to my being out of town for work for extended periods of time until mid-March 2019, my family and I have decided to put BirchTree on hold.

This page will not be updated and/or monitored closely.

The product we have currently in Cherry Red Market will be there until it is sold out (50% off entire booth!) or until Christmas, then we will no longer have a presence at CRM.

My desire to own my own business - to be creative and work my passions - is still there. I just do not know what the future holds - I just know Who holds it.

Thank you for your generous support of BirchTree all these years. I may be able to serve you again in the future.

My dear MIL started a tradition with her grand-girls: having a back-to-school, dress up tea party as a fun means to teach manners. Over the years, as the girls have grown, it has evolved to include 2nd cousins from OKC and mothers. Due to health issues, the tea party had dwindled.

This year, at the request of those we affectionately call the 3rd Geners, I took over the tradition. At their request, we also expanded it to include girls and boys. Our 3rd Geners range in age from 23 - 14; 1 is married, 1 is engaged; there are now 10 living in Oklahoma and 8 are attending this year's tea party.

I'm taking it up a notch, too, since they're all older. I'm serving a 7-course meal (with help) and setting a formal table. We're all dressing up (formal, steampunk, and/or cosplay). Afterwards, they're playing non-electronic games.

In my research to figure out what I'm doing (LOL), guess what I discovered?

There is a difference between MANNERS and ETIQUETTE!

Can anyone tell me the difference? Without looking it up like I did?

And Saturday, there will be refreshments!

Gloria Birky Beachey, owner / designer of Glori Bee Jewelry, has brought over 150 pieces of her handmade jewelry to BirchTree for your shopping enjoyment. Her selection includes necklaces, earrings, adjustable rings, and bracelets.

The unique and 100% handcrafted jewelry is a true artisan family affair. Her husband Duane picks the flowers that adorn the interior of the jewelry. Gloria then carefully dries and meticulously layers her natural beauties into resin forms. As part of this trunk show, Gloria has a few pueces of jewelry in various stages of the process for you to observe how she creates her masterful works of art.

Join us Friday and Saturday, (6/29 & 6/30), for an artist's work and some light refreshments (Saturday only).

Sunday night dinner: egg salad slathered on bread. Eggs, mayo, salt, pepper, parsley. Soooo satisfying.

2nd official custom order has a bit of history... There's this pretty cool guy that's been a huge part of my family for the last 21 years. He's got 2 of the most precious grands that call him Pop. He recently moved to a new place that now gives him his own shop. So, his wonderful wife and I thought it needed a title so the grands know where to find him... 💙
