OUR HISTORY
From humble Etsy beginnings, designer and founder, Rebecca Schoneveld has an aesthetic that brides couldn’t get enough of. Shortly after launching her Etsy shop in 2010, Rebecca outgrew her small scale apartment studio, moving into a small storefront in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Just two years later she quickly expanded beyond those walls and opened Schone Bride in a beautiful expansive space
down the block from her original shop. Boutique in the front and design/production studio in the back we feature a carefully curated collection of gowns (and jumpsuits! and separates!), as well as perfect accessories, hand crafted honeymoon accoutrements, and even original art from local artists. We believe in creating a wedding experience that is genuinely positive and personal. WHO WE ARE

This boutique is the labor of love and the fruit of a long-time dream. With a beautiful and cheerful boutique space in the front and a full sewing production and design studio in the back, visitors to Schone can see firsthand the process that goes into crafting a gown. Schone Bride boutique features an exciting mix of some of the best independent bridal gown and accessories designers out there- many of whom can only be found here- as well as the entire Rebecca Schoneveld collection. In a boutique nestled in Gowanus Brooklyn, which has been known up until now more for warehouses and heavy industry than for silk and lace, we are carving out a new kind of space for a new kind of bride.
