👸🧜‍♀️I've been doing this for almost 10 years now and I'll never get over the JOY and SURPRISE of a new pair of leggings. The vibrance, the detail, the SOFTNESS. I still get nervous waiting for the real deal to arrive knowing only what the digital mock up looked like but I'm rarely disappointed (and when I am, it gets fixed because we pride ourselves in quality)

Someone asked a follow up question. ⬇️⬇️⬇️

“Can’t you do both? “Don’t do that, do this instead,” and then guide them? Kids need to learn how to handle being told they can’t do something, or we end up with adults who need parenting.”

Here was my short response

Telling a child not to do something is only helpful if 1. They are not aware they are not supposed to do it and 2. We follow it up with A LOT more focus on what TO do instead. For example, “Don’t put the fork in the microwave, keep the fork on the napkin, like this(Show them).” Then when they are in curious/regulated state explain why the fork stays on the napkin while microwaving food. Also help the child practice remembering to put the fork in the napkin by literally going through the motions.

Here is what I’m adding for Instagram

It is okay for children to be upset when things don’t go their way. It’s okay for children to experience disappointment, sadness and frustration. Our role as the adult isn’t to try and avoid these emotions. Our role as the adult is to be with them in their emotions (without adding pressure to change their emotions).
AND
You can’t do a don’t. Children who have adults constantly telling them what not to do instead of spending their energy showing them what to, will be more likely to have child sized skills when they become an adult. Our capacity for helpful skills increases with development but our ability increases with practice. This includes learning how to handle disappointment.

🚿 Product Highlight: Shower Steamers

They are back in stock!!!

Our mentholated shower steamers are a hot seller year-round!

All are made with our essential oil blends. Customers can get 2 showers out of 1 steamer...the trick is to place in the corner of your shower, out of the direct stream of water.

We like to put it in an empty jar and add a tiny bit of water. Then we can really get the steamer right up to our noses to help us breathe! We've also had customers tell us they put in organza bags and hang over the shower head.
