It’s a long story...
I say its a long story, but I will try my best to keep it short.
In 2012 I started sewing cloth diapers for the impending birth of my second child. Enough people said I should sell them that I did. Eventually I found my way into the custom stuffy world, and thought to myself, “I can do that!”
During the first years of my son’s life I ran this business so I could stay home with him. You see, he was special needs. After 2 years and many medical issues, he ended up in the ICU just after his birthday. That was when I had to put my business on hold while I learned how to truly live life as a special needs mom. In late 2015 we finally got a diagnosis and treatment plan and thought life was in the clear, but in the spring of 2016 my beloved Tiny passed away.
I tried to go back to my business soon after, thinking it would distract me from the pain of losing him. But it only reminded me why I started it all in the first place. However, 3 years later, I have been able to find that joy I felt again. That pure love and excitement I feel when I hold a freshly stitched stuffy in my hands. I was able to remember how much I loved seeing my toys being loved by other children. So in January of 2019 I reopened my doors to the public, so to speak, and stopped making only for friends and family.
